Our Mission Statement:

Word of Hope exists to bring the healing of Jesus Christ to those whose hearts are broken by abortion.

History: 

In 1991, Healing Hearts was launched as the abortion healing ministry of Lutherans for Life. At that time, we received two or three phone calls a week. Now, we receive average 250 calls each month from individuals, families, pastors, chaplains, military personnel, and prison inmates.

In 2003, Healing Hearts changed its name to Word of Hope.  Today, God’s Word of hope is offered through a network of caring people across the country.

We offer hope to: 

• Women and men who suffer the pain of an abortion
• Women who have been sexually abused
• Women with an unplanned pregnancy
